Adapttech wins a GOOD DESIGN® Award
Adapttech, a biomedical company focused on developing new smart technologies for the prosthetic industry with the goal of improving lower limb amputee patient outcomes, are announced winners of The Good Design® Awards: Medical 2022.
The Good Design Awards is the world's oldest and most respected awards program. This award recognizes the world's most inventive and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs. Annually, designers and manufacturers from around 50 countries are celebrated for their contributions to modern design.
Chief Design Officer Diogo Lopes said: “It is an honour for the Adapttech team to receive the prestigious Good Design Award. Adapttech's approach to product design and engineering results in technologically advanced devices that are user-friendly. Our deep focus on the patient and healthcare provider needs allows us to design a product that empowers better care and ultimately, improves people's mobility and quality of life.”
The Good Design Awards prioritizes product quality, performance, and aesthetics, therefore all designs must undergo a rigorous procedure overseen by the judging committee. This group is made up of notable design professionals and industry experts. The judging committee highlights four categories of screening viewpoints, which highlight whether the design may significantly enrich people's lives and the society they live in. In addition, while selecting a winning design, the judging committee considers the five core themes of humanity, honesty, originality, aesthetics, and ethics.
Lopes said: “Winning the Good Design Award helps Adapttech to be a design reference in the O&P market, motivating us to keep working for better products.”
