Each year, the WHO chooses a different health theme to focus on, and this celebration serves as an important reminder of the need to prioritize health and wellbeing as a fundamental human right and to work together to create a healthier and more equitable world for all.
Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month - April 2023
Millions of people around the world are affected by limb loss and limb difference. Some are born with a limb difference, while others experience limb loss due trauma (accident or injury) or surgery (due to any of multiple causes such as blood vessel disease, cancer, infection, excessive tissue damage, dysfunction, pain, etc.) These individuals face unique challenges, from physical limitations to social stigma, but they also possess incredible resilience and determination.
International day of persons with disabilities 2022
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) takes place on the 3rd of December every year. This day aims to encourage us to think about how we can create an environment that is inviting to everyone. IDPD further helps to promote empowerment and helps create real opportunities for people with disabilities.

Limb loss is often the result of cancer, vascular disease or trauma, but some people may also be born with limb differences. An average of 507 people in the U.S. will lose a limb every day. In 1945, at the end of World War II, a considerable number of soldiers were returning home with physical disabilities.
Diabetic patients and how to encourage prosthetic care
November is National Diabetes Month. This movement hopes to raise awareness of symptoms, promote healthy living and ensure people are aware of risk factors. At Adapttech we'd like to partake in the initiative and raise awareness of this issue.
