Medical Design Excellence Awards 2022 Gold Winners
The Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) is the premier awards program for the MedTech industry. This award was created in 1998 to recognise significant achievements and advances in medical product design and engineering that improve the quality of healthcare service delivery.

Adapttech is extremely proud to announce that we are the Gold Winner of the Rehabilitation and Assistive-Technology Products category of the #MDEA 2022, which recognises the features and design of our INSIGHT products.
The main challenge that the Adapttech Team had during the development of INSIGHT was to design a product that would be able to integrate the traditional socket fitting process in a way that would add value to that process, facilitating and supporting all the work of the clinicians. This range of products has been designed in detail to add value to the process of fitting patients with prostheses and aid the trial-and-error methodology.
INSIGHT has a direct impact on patients well-being, who avoid the tiresome traditional fitting process and can return to everyday life faster. The improved socket fit facilitates an improved quality of life, and provides patients with better understand of what is going on within their sockets as well as feeling more included in the process. Furthermore, patients do not need to worry about the inability to provide accurate feedback to physicians, as there is now objective data to support what they feel in their residual limb. Adapttech’s software is also designed to facilitate an efficient and optimised patient-clinician interaction.
