Adapttech Beyond

At Adapttech we care about the well-being of people. The values we associate with the development of our products are also reflected in our day-to-day actions as a team, and that’s why we created the project Adapttech Beyond. 

Aiming to make a difference and help to improve the lives of those around us, we have launched some voluntary work initiatives as a company. These initiatives focus on different social and environmental sustainability topics, such as the health and well-being of people and animals, and the protection of the environment. 

We started by implementing some new rules in the office to avoid waste, encourage the reuse of materials, and use less plastic and paper, in order to improve the company's environmental responsibility. After this, we organised some voluntary social actions in which our employees actively and proudly participated.  

Our first social action consisted on supporting the non-profit organization Porto Solidário, by collecting food and hygiene products. Porto Solidário emerged at the beginning of the pandemic to help some of the families that are struggling because of the pandemic (unfortunately, the number of families seeking social support institutions has more than doubled since then). They bring food and hygiene products to 70 families, and also distribute weekly food, clothing, and essential goods to homeless people. 

Then, to celebrate the Global Recycling Day, we organised a collection of recyclable waste and took it to Lipor – the Intermunicipal Waste Management Service of Greater Porto. We really want to contribute to helping the environment not only as individuals but also as a company.
